As the ECO-ERASMUS project (Project No: KA210-YOU-F8803D98) draws to an end, we look back with pride and gratitude on a year filled with learning, growth, and meaningful action. Over the past 12 months, we have worked alongside youth workers and young people from across Europe to foster ecological awareness, promote sustainable practices, and empower the next generation to lead the way in environmental conservation.
A Year of Impactful Activities
The project’s two cornerstone activities—“Let’s Transform Our World!” in Ireland and “Back to Nature” in Lithuania—served as pivotal moments in shaping the project’s legacy.
Let’s Transform Our World! (Ireland)
This activity provided participants with the skills and tools to:
- Organise eco-friendly educational activities for young people.
- Discover and implement innovative green practices for youth work.
- Build international partnerships that pave the way for sustainable, collaborative projects across Europe.
The experience in Ireland inspired participants to think creatively and practically about integrating environmental consciousness into their work, equipping them with strategies they can continue to apply long after the project ends.
Back to Nature (Lithuania)
In Lithuania, participants delved deeper into understanding environmental issues and the role of legislation in addressing climate change. Highlights included:
- Expanding knowledge of waste management resources and effective techniques for raising awareness.
- Engaging in lab activities using gamification and multimedia technologies to better connect with young people.
- Improving both language skills and ecological awareness among youth and instructors.
This activity helped participants translate theoretical knowledge into practical applications, enhancing their ability to make a tangible difference in their communities.

A Legacy to Be Proud Of
As we conclude this project, we are proud to have witnessed the transformation of young people and youth workers into empowered advocates for ecological awareness. Through workshops, collaborative activities, and experiential learning, participants have gained the skills and motivation to champion sustainability in their communities and beyond.
The ECO-ERASMUS project has left a lasting impact, not only on those directly involved but also on the wider social circles they influence. From promoting responsible consumption to inspiring green initiatives through social media, the ripple effect of this project will continue to grow.
Moving Forward
Although the official duration of the ECO-ERASMUS project ends on 30th December 2024, its message and mission will endure. As we reflect on this journey, we extend our heartfelt thanks to our partners, participants, and supporters who made this initiative a success.
Together, we’ve taken meaningful steps towards a greener, more sustainable future. And while this chapter may be closing, the story of ecological transformation is just beginning.
Stay tuned as we continue to share the impact of ECO-ERASMUS and carry its lessons into future endeavours.
