We are delighted to announce the successful conclusion of FURNICERT, an Erasmus+ project that ran from 1st May 2022 to 1st August 2024. This innovative project focused on providing vocational language training specifically for the furniture sector, using a bespoke e-learning platform to help professionals enhance their English skills to a B1/B2 level.
Project Overview of FURNICERT:
Collaborative Development Across Four Countries
FURNICERT was developed in collaboration with partners from four countries: Globalnet (Poland), Cetem (Spain), Furniture (Poland), UNICERT (Greece), and Eurospeak (Ireland). The project aimed to equip workers in the furniture industry with the necessary language skills to communicate effectively in professional settings, ensuring they can operate confidently in international markets.
Tailored English Course for the Furniture Industry
The e-learning platform offers a comprehensive English course tailored to the furniture industry. Structured into 12 chapters, the course is designed for self-paced learning over 2 to 3 weeks, covering essential industry-specific topics. Participants who complete the course will be well-prepared to pass the certification exam, earning a qualification that aligns with European Qualification Standards.
FURNICERT E-learning Platform and Certification:

Multiplier Events and Workshops:
Eurospeak’s Multiplier Events and Insights
As part of the project, each partner country held Multiplier events to disseminate the project’s results. At Eurospeak, we hosted two successful events: one aimed at educators at Everest Language School and another for students at UCD. These events offered valuable insights into the course and the certification process, providing attendees with the opportunity to engage with industry experts.
Innovative Teaching Workshops Across Partner Countries
Creative workshops were conducted across the partner countries, focusing on innovative teaching methods like design thinking to boost problem-solving skills in both language education and the furniture sector.
