Skills4Women: Upskilling disadvantaged, immigrant, migrant and refugee women with vital skills required for integration and to gain employment 

The Skills4Women consortium is proud to announce the launch of its new, easy-to-follow courses, now available for learning on the Skills4Women platform. This transformative initiative aims to empower women, particularly those from disadvantaged, migrant, and refugee backgrounds, by equipping them with essential skills to thrive in their new environments and secure meaningful employment. 

A collaboration between four international partners—TAG Green (Greece), VogalOrizontal (Portugal), Eurospeak (Ireland), and Beehive Blue (Spain)—the Skills4Women project addresses the unique challenges faced by migrant and refugee women, who often encounter barriers such as language difficulties, cultural adaptation, and finding suitable job opportunities. 

The newly launched courses cover four key areas that are crucial for personal and professional growth: 

• Language: Everyday skills to help women communicate with confidence in various situations. 

• Work: Strategies to overcome obstacles in the job market and achieve career goals. 

• Culture: Simple steps to adapt to new environments, feel at home, and build meaningful connections with others. 

• Finance: Practical tips for effective money management and financial independence. 

Recognizing the vital role of accessibility in education, the Skills4Women platform offers these courses in four languages: English, Portuguese, Spanish, and Greek. This multilingual approach ensures that women from diverse backgrounds, regardless of their native language, can access high-quality, easy-to-follow learning resources. By removing language barriers, Skills4Women enables participants to fully engage with the course content, enhancing their ability to integrate into new environments and pursue meaningful career opportunities.

Designed with inclusivity at its core, these courses provide valuable insights and practical knowledge that empower women to take control of their futures. Whether the goal is to enhance communication skills, advance career prospects, adapt to a new culture, or achieve financial stability, the Skills4Women platform delivers the essential tools and support needed for success.
