Empowering Migrant Women: Skills4Women Final Event in Ireland

Empowering Migrant Women: Skills4Women Final Event in Ireland

The final Multiplier Event of the Skills4Women project in Ireland was a powerful celebration of learning, inclusion, and community that held on the 16th of April 2025, with the collaboration of New Partnership Communities (NPC). Designed to showcase the project’s outcomes and future potential, the event brought together 20 participants, including migrant and refugee women, representatives from NGOs, and organisations supporting women in Ireland.

The event took the form of an interactive workshop, where the cultural and creative sectors engaged in meaningful discussions on integration, education, and women’s empowerment. Attendees were shared the project brochure outlining key achievements, methodologies, and partner contributions. Most importantly, the event provided a hands-on introduction to the Skills4Women e-learning platform—an innovative tool designed to support migrant women in their personal and professional development.

Feedback from participants was positive. Many praised the friendly, inclusive atmosphere and found great value in the resources shared, such as CV writing tips, job search strategies, and information on accessing free English language courses. The practical workshop and networking opportunities were particularly appreciated, with many women noting that these tools helped boost their confidence and readiness to integrate into Irish society.

A recurring theme during the event was the importance of language skills as a gateway to inclusion. Attendees expressed enthusiasm for expanding access to English courses and highlighted the role of education in overcoming everyday challenges.

The Skills4Women project has created a meaningful impact on migrant women in Ireland, and the final event served as an event to the power of collaboration, community, and tailored support.
