As part of the KIDLE Project, two playful games and engaging sessions were held on November 26th and December 6th, 2024, at New Communities Partnership in Dublin. Facilitated by Eurospeak, with support from NCP, these sessions brought together children aged 5–8 for a fun, interactive learning experience centered around language, food, game and friendship.
The game-based format allowed children to learn through action cards, storytelling, and group play. The atmosphere was lively and joyful, children showed high engagement and were particularly excited about learning new words and discovering food from different cultures. Their curiosity was sparked with each card, leading to thoughtful questions and eager participation.

While the young players were full of enthusiasm, the sessions also provided valuable insights into how the game could evolve. Some rules were challenging for the younger age group, and they will be adjsusted before coming into a final version. Still, teamwork was a highlight, and children enjoyed collaborating and helping one another navigate the game.

The KIDLE events proved that learning doesn’t have to be formal to be effective. Through play, laughter, and collaboration, children absorbed cultural knowledge and practiced new skills—all while having fun. We’re excited to continue refining the experience based on their wonderful feedback, ensuring even more playful learning moments ahead!
