The Piloting of the READ’s training programme in Irish schools lasted from mid-May to the beginning of June 2025. Eurospeak, in collaboration with KCCP, which is in Dublin and GNS, which is in Donegal, presented the READ’s training programme to 11 teachers and 42 students in total. The piloting workshops were interactive and engaged teachers’ and students’ participation.

The 3 Modules motivated both students and teachers to learn more about them:
1- READ, THINK, SOLVE
2- Overcoming emotional life situations
3- Empathy: Learning to Feel with Others

Especially the students liked the stories presented on the READ OER a lot!

During the piloting with students in Ireland, we focused on Module 3 of READ’s OER, which was developed by Eurospeak and deals with “problem-solving and resilience”. Students liked the short educational story about “Lena and the missing map”. Inspired by this story, students drew their own creative drawings, which they presented proudly to their classmates. They expressed their interest in exploring the other educational stories included in the READ OER.

Concluding, READ’s piloting in Ireland was successful as it achieved its goal. Not only did it motivate teachers to enrich their lessons, but it also fostered students to read more!
