GROWTH Training in Italy!

GROWTH Training in Italy!

It’s been a month since the training activity for youth workers in the framework of the GROWTH project (Project Number: 2022-2-IT03-KA220-YOU000093446), whose full title is: “An innovative approach to engage European youth in positive entrepreneurial initiatives”, took place in Italy. The training was hosted by the coordinator, Prometheus, on the 27th and 28th of March 2025 in the beautiful city of Viterbo.

The 2-day training event had the purpose of increasing the range of training abilities of the youth workers, with a set of knowledge, skills and competences related to youth entrepreneurship, positive psychology and the theory relevant to self-concepts for young entrepreneurs. Through several interactive workshops and engaging presentations, 13 youth workers from all partner organisations were upskilled based on the Modules developed in the GROWTH – Toolkit for Youth Workers.

Eurospeak’s youth workers delivered two presentations on the topics of “Resilience and Stress Management” and “Business Management and Planning Skills”. The youth worker from Prometheus thoroughly presented the GROWTH’s- Toolkit for Youth Workers and provided a detailed overview of the topics developed in it, in combination with the GROWTH e-learning platform. Finally, the youth worker from ESICA delivered an interesting presentation on “Product Presentation and Branding”, because packaging matters a lot! All presenters had implemented some energisers that had a lot of fun, whereas those from Prometheus did ice-breaking activities during the opening of the training on the first day to make participants feel better by getting to know each other. Apart from the training programme, participants had the chance to enjoy some common meals in Viterbo and taste the local delicious food.

Towards the end of the training, participants were asked to fill in an online evaluation questionnaire. Based on its results, it can be said that the evaluation was generally positive, and we can highlight some of its aspects in this article:

  • 61,5% of the participants rate the training content as excellent, 30,8% as very good, whereas 7,7% found it so-so.
  • 76,9% is extremely satisfied by the time devoted per activity, and 23,1% are very satisfied.
  • The overall organisation of the training by Prometheus was evaluated 69,2% as excellent and 30,8% as very good.
  • Regarding the social activities that took place in Viterbo, 61,5% were completely satisfied with them, 30,8% were very satisfied, and only 7,7% were so-so.
  • This GROWTH training activity not only met participants’ expectations, but in some cases, it exceeded them, as we received answers like: “The training was more interesting than I expected,” and “The training was better than I expected.”.
  • Concluding, there were some comments that participants would like to share, such as:
  • ‘I made new friends and I’m very happy for this. Viterbo is also very inspiring. We enjoyed it.”
  • “It was a pleasure meeting and working with all of you.”
  • “The bonding among participants was very good!”.

Summing up, we would like to close this article with some of the answers given by the participants regarding their “takeaways of the GROWTH training”. Many replied that they learnt new things and that it was very motivating for them. Another one said that there was a positive energy throughout the training, whereas some commented that they met interesting and lovely people. Two answers were more detailed and unique:

  • “I am gaining the ability to be braver and to see every opportunity and take it.”
  • “I learned how to work with young people in order to increase their capacities in regard to entrepreneurship, how to build youth and community resilience and support to marginalised groups.”

These show exactly how successful the GROWTH training was!!!
