The ICT for Migrants Project!

The ICT for Migrants project – ICTM (Project’s number: 2022-3-FR02-KA210-YOU-000048687) aims to facilitate access to digital technologies for young migrants and to improve their digital skills through the training of youth workers of the partners. Its main objective is to support and promote the use of ICTs to achieve the social inclusion of young migrants by improving their digital skills.

More concrete, the ICTM project is targeted to improve:

  • the quality of services related to the support to young migrants by the partner organisations of the project, through the exchange of good practices in overcoming the difficulties they have in accessing new technologies.
  • the skills of youth workers in teaching methodologies for young migrants and more specifically in teaching the use of ICT as youth workers need new competencies.

At the beginning of January 2024, partners met for the first time face-to-face in France, in the city of Fontainebleau. The coordinator, EU-Human ACT was the host, and two representatives from each partner organisation: Kepder from Turkey, EgestionPyme from Spain, and Eurospeak from Ireland attended this meeting on the 9th and the 10th of February in the snowy and freezing cold Fontainebleu. The meeting took place in the spectacular Assembly Hall of Fontainebleau Town Hall, where Mrs Judith Reynaud the Deputy Mayor of Fontainebleau opened the meeting and welcomed all participants.
